Regina is a hidden gem for bird and landscape photography. Wascana Park — one of the largest urban parks in North America — draws an extraordinary variety of waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds right in the heart of the city, while the nearby McKell Conservation Area offers wilder prairie habitat and intimate wildlife encounters. Saskatchewan sits on a major migratory flyway, making spring and fall spectacular seasons to capture species you won't find here any other time of year. Whether you're after sweeping prairie skies or a perfectly timed shot of a pelican in flight, Regina delivers far more than most photographers expect.

Cheri is an award-winning Master of Photographic Arts and holds seven accreditations with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) including ornithology. Cheri grew up in Regina and has spent years exploring Wascana Park, McKell Conservation Area, and the surrounding prairie. She knows where the birds are, when they show up, and how to get you in the right position for the shot. Photography is something Cheri does every chance she gets, which means when you're on a tour with her, you're learning from someone who is genuinely out there doing it alongside you.

Cheri leads tours for small groups and individuals, creating an intimate experience where every participant gets personal attention. She covers the basics of bird photography — from camera settings to composition — and teaches guests how to find and approach birds without disturbing them. Throughout the tour Cheri shares tips for getting the best shot, talks about the local environment and wildlife, and ensures everyone feels safe and confident in the field. Each participant leaves with a customized workbook they can refer back to long after the tour is done.
